Not a target, not a trade-off. The systems we oversee have to be defensible to the people they touch, and to the people accountable for them.

Governance is a feature.
It is not a tax on AI. Built right, it is how AI gets to deploy at all, and how vendors earn the trust to stay.

People decide. AI assists.
Every interface, workflow and audit trail assumes a person in the loop. We are building infrastructure for that loop, not around it.
